Since the start of 2018, our in-house content creators have been going a little nuts... let's look at how and why
For a business that always specialised in creating content strategies for others, it was kind of odd, that we never did it for ourselves.
But, new year, new start. You'll see in the image below, that content marketing, leads to results.
What has this meant for our business?
Well, it's helped us articulate to key individuals the activities we're undertaking. It shows our efforts, and demonstrates action. It also helps us to have fun while we're on the job.
We're not obsessed with numbers, small is beautiful
It's also lead to a manageable upturn in enquires for web design work. No complaints there.
INTL
We operate online. That means that we work with folks from across the globe. And this reflects in our traffic sources.
Recently, our workshops in Portugal and Amsterdam lead to an uptick in visitors from those regions. In the last 12 months, site visitors came from over 100 countries.
Lazy social
Years ago, we were all over social media for our clients. But a combination of cynicism for the industry, and a shift in focus for the business to web design, meant, like a dad who still only listens to Aerosmith, we're stuck in 2010 with an over reliance on FB.
Now, we mostly use Facebook, to document it all, as such, pretty much all of the referral traffic on this site comes from there.
What's next then?
Seems our blogging efforts are being rewarded with better site traffic, so.. seems it works.
We'll continue to document what we're up to, as long as you guys keep liking it.
1/4/18 UPDATE:
We wrote this post as soon as the March numbers climbed over those from Feb, that was on the 12th.. we continued blogging and below, we can see the results
