When a plan comes together (almost)

Newsflash: We've got a new favourite video of 2018.. and it's not much more than a man, using a website...

Why is this the new number one? When I watch the video over and over during the editing process, I get to study each frame, and each reaction, and what I saw, felt very real.

TL:DR - I showed this guy rollover 2, and he freaked out - mind blown. Yes. Exactly the response we were going for.

To put some context to this video, Jon and I had been speaking for 2 0 minutes of so about Wix Video, and as we were about to cut the call, I thought I'd might be fun to show him the app....

I think it's safe to say, he likes it, so with that... here's a couple of things we believe in, in 2018

1. People don't read, they look, and if there's enough reason for them to break their 'swipe flow' - they might tap. If you're lucky.

2. Evocative site images have never been more important & You must move beyond the image and continue to impress in a super short window before you're old news

Old cliches like 'you never get a second change to make a first impression' have never been truer. Think of magazine advertisements from the past, you'd see them over and over again, and slowly but surely - like a visual ear-worm that eventually burrows in through exposure, and eventually you say 'Yes, I like BestBuy'

We know the phrase 'finger licking good', because it's been everywhere, forever but we NEVER remember a Sponsored Post we might once have scanned and considered for a split second.

THE POINT IS....

You have to generate emotion, real emotion - from your site visitor. Do that, and you have a chance to begin a relationship with them, don't, and you say say bye-bye forever

Timing Is Everything.

An effective website with animations, will reveal it's messaging in a way that holds the site user's interest for over five seconds.

Can you imagine, looking at something for longer without wanting a reward? Nope. Nor me.

Rollover has been designed to take on these digital communication challenges.

1. Amaze the user - and create a moment of joy that makes you memorable

2. Tell the story in a second - there's no time to waste

3. Animation in your hand. - We've gone mobile first, it's so important

So, why do I love this video so much?

Because... it validates our work, and we're human and need constant validation..

Because .. it's so real, you can tell, by every look he gives, he's feeling it

Because... it gives us this feeling too, and we honestly can't wait to share it.
